【Chit Chat】 About What's Next...


It's been two months since our last update, so I figured it's time to pop in and say hello. I wanted to chat with you all a bit and give you a heads-up on what we're up to.

During these past two months, we've been working hard on Version 1.4 of "Project Virtual Girl ." This update includes a brand new scene, a fresh character, eight new outfits, and four new interactions. Just a few days ago, we added Light Volume, which enhances the lighting and shadows on the characters for a more realistic effect. It's been a significant update that has consumed a lot of our time, and we're still fine-tuning the interactions and other features. We're aiming to release it by the end of the month.

When I initially started developing this game, I had planned to update every two weeks. However, as things progressed, the time between updates inevitably stretched longer. In the middle of all this, I also experimented with other features, like the previous bath demo. Recently, I tested integrating AI dialogue and confirmed its applicability within the game. The main challenge, though, might be persuading players to spend an extra few dollars for a large language model API.

The issue of lacking a storyline in the game still persists. I'm somewhat hesitant about whether the game really needs a plot. It feels a bit of a shame to have such beautiful characters with no substance or soul. However, these characters are already publicly available paid models, so adding new storylines feels a bit odd. As a result, we've postponed this aspect. The game does have mission and dialogue functions; we just haven't added substantial content to them yet.

In the future, I might develop another action game, taking inspiration from "Succubus Heaven" on DLsite. The gameplay concept involves controlling three characters to enter a dungeon and fight monsters. When attacked by monsters, the game transitions into an H interaction scene. During these interactions, players can switch to another character to continue fighting or keep watching the interaction until all three characters are defeated, ending the game. The development and release process for this new game will be straightforward: release a version after completing each level until we finish all levels and reach the official release. Right now, this new game is still in the prototype verification phase. If everything goes smoothly, it should be developed alongside the "Project Virtual Girl"

I know many of you subscribed because of the animated videos I made previously. However, since I've ventured into game development, I'm committed to making great games. Whether it's one game or several, my goal is to create games that everyone enjoys playing. If you're skilled in monster modeling or 3D scene creation, please feel free to reach out to me. 已经2个月没有更新了,我觉得是时候出来冒个泡,顺便和大家聊点什么。

这两个月我们一直在制作《虚拟少女开发计划》1.4版本的内容,包括一个新场景、一个新角色、8套新衣服、4个新互动,最近几天还加入了Light Volume,就是一种更好的角色光影效果。总之为了这个重要的版本花了很多时间,目前还在调整互动和其他的一些功能,预计在月底可以发布出来。

其实在最开始做这个游戏的时候,我计划的是每半个月一更新,但真的做起来时间就越拉越长,当然中间我还尝试了其他东西,比如之前那个洗澡的Demo,最近我还测试了加入AI对话,确认了可以应用在游戏里,但是最大的问题可能是如何让玩游戏的人愿意再花十几美元去买一个大语言模型的API…

游戏缺乏剧情的问题依然存在,我也比较犹豫到底这个游戏需不需要剧情,看着游戏里这么漂亮的角色,空有外表没有灵魂多少有点可惜,但这些角色本身就是公共的付费模型,要硬给她们加一些新设定,感觉也有点怪怪的,结果就一直拖到了现在,游戏中是有任务和对话功能的,只不过一直没有往里面加内容。

后续我可能会再做一款动作游戏,玩法借鉴了DLsite上的《淫魔天堂》(succubusheaven),游戏流程就是控制3个角色进图打怪,被怪攻击会进H互动,H互动时可以切换角色战斗,也可以继续观看互动,直到3个角色全被打败游戏结束。这个新游戏的制作和发布流程就会比较简单,做完一个关卡发布一个版本,直到做完所有关卡发布游戏正式版。目前这个新游戏还在原型验证阶段,如果顺利的话应该会和《虚拟少女开发计划》同步开发。

我知道有很多人订阅是因为之前做过的动画视频,但既然开始做游戏了,我也想把游戏做好,不管是一个游戏还是几个游戏,做出大家想玩的游戏就是我的目标。如果有会制作怪物模型、3D场景的大佬可以和我联系,欢迎以各种方式加入我们团队。
